a quick catch up post while baby is sleeping...

I have not been a good blogger lately, i know. But it is getting so hard now that Jakson is getting so big! It was easier when he was napping a lot and could chill in his swing. Y'all he is growing up SO fast!

Here are some updates on my little boog~

He says dada and has said momma THREE times. haha, i'm not counting or anything :)

He was scooting and rolling for the longest time. Well, last night he CRAWLED!! I couldn't believe it. he did it again this morning. Don't you worry, I got it on video this morning...I will post it later.

This morning while getting work done on my car he was smiling at me and that is when I noticed he is getting a TOOTH!! Bottom left side...a tooth is starting to poke through. I have been waiting for this with all the drooling and putting everything in his mouth that he does.

Tonight mommy and daddy are going on a date with our friends Mike and Jessica to Bluepointe, yummmmy! I am so excited. Once you have a baby it is so crazy how excited you get for time with other adults and being able to enjoy a dinner without a little one crawling all over you and begging for your constant attention. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE THAT and wouldn't change it for the world but a dinner by yourselves every now and then is very much enjoyed :) Mike and Jessica are expecting little Kaydee in September...I can't wait!!

Jakson has been on two playdates with his friends Wyatt and Mason. They are adorable together. All of us mommies are so excited for the three of them to be best friends. The three of us mommies also get along great, so it is awesome. It is so nice to get some mommy talk every now and then. I am so glad we all got connected! Thanks to facebook, hah!

Tomorrow we are meeting an old college friend and her little boy Leo for lunch. I am so excited to catch up with her and see her little boy!

I am taking Jakson to Lake Lanier Water Park this week with my sister Ashley, her boys, and some of her mommy friends and kiddos...We are so excited :)

and 18 more days until CHRISSI comes home from south africa. I think that is the correct countdown. We miss her so much. The skyping has been great but I want to hug her and really see her. :)

Happy LATE father's day

I am so late on getting my post's up this week. I am having to use the internet while I am at my parents house since ours isn't working. Below this post is Jakson's 7 month post which was late too!

This was us last Father's day. little guy was growing in my belly :)

I can't believe that this year Josh became a daddy.

I have loved watching him go from husband to daddy. He is such a natural. Jakson just adores his daddy and watches his every move. I know Josh is so excited to be able to take him fishing and canoeing with him one day. From the moment we knew little "poppyseed" was in the belly Josh called him his fishing buddy. I love it. My two boys :) I love you so much Josh and you are the most amazing daddy. I can't wait to see what else the future holds.

i LOVE my daddy. I have always been daddy's little girl. i always hung with the guys. i baited my own hook, to make daddy proud. i casted my own line, to make daddy proud. i ate sardines, to make daddy proud(and that is no joke, haha)

My dad has taught me so much about life. he taught me about the Lord and his Word. he taught me how to play softball and how to play basketball. he spent SO much of his free time coaching all of his kids. yup, he loves us. That is one thing we were always sure of because he always showed us that.

And now he is a Pop and boy do his grandkids love him! Jakson already gets a big smile on his face when Pop lifts him up in the air and prepares himself for a slobber bomb :) he loves each and everyone of them and shows it in so many ways.

i love you daddy, you are the BEST :)

I am SO behind...Jakson is 7 months!

I'm sorry, but is that not the sweetest little baby butt ever! Hahah, oh my gosh I love it!!

I am way behind on Jakson's seven month update, sorry little guy!! The internet isn't working at our house right now so I am having to do this post at Mimi and Pops!

I can't believe you are already SEVEN months...boy this is flyyying by! I cherish every minute I get to hold you, rock you, kiss you and snuggle you. Oh if you could just stay my sweet little boy forever. But, I guess I will let you grow up :) Daddy and I pray for you and your future daily. We love you so much little stinker.

Here is what you are up to at seven months...

-You are in 6-9 month clothes.

-You are in size three diapers.

-You weigh about 18lbs.

-You are bottle fed now and are doing great with it!

-You still love your carseat and pass out as soon as the car starts moving.

-You look more and more like your daddy everyday.

-You are trying so hard to crawl. You scoot and roll everywhere but I know that the crawl will be here before I know it.

-You are sitting up so great! You will tumble over some but for the most part you are doing AWESOME balancing yourself!

-You aren't showing any signs of seperation anxiety...let's hope that continues. When I pick you up from nursery at church they do nothing but tell me how happy and wonderful you are...i love it!

-The only time you really fuss is when you are hungry or sleepy. You are such a happy baby!

-You LOVE the pool. I wish we belonged to one so I could take you more often but I try to get you in your baby pool in the shade in the driveway as often as I can. You love splashing around.

-You had a play date with two little boys, wyatt and mason, who are about a little over a week older than you and it was so cute! Yall were adorable. Toys were getting faught over, you were all staring and babbling, you "tasted" mason's head...haha, yes that is right. You slobbered all over the poor guys head. You boys are going to be best friends :)

I guess that is pretty much it for now. I love you sweet boy. I can't get enough of all of your sweet little rolls and chunky legs. and I am obsessed with your smile...obsessed I tell you :)

we are missing daddy!

This week Jaks and I are staying at my parents house while Josh is on a work trip in Vegas...booooo. I tried to get him to take me with him but no luck :(

Anyways...this is a simple post. I can't sleep and just wanted to share a couple of pictures of Jakson that I took on my phone and on photo booth. I love this boy and CAN'T get enough of him...EVER!!

a walk and a boat ride

Josh and I were house sitting my parents house this past week while they are in Israel. Their house is right down the road from Kennesaw Mountain so we decided to go for a walk one night. The mountain road was already closed so we had to walk around the mountain. The weather was perfect. Jakson really loves walks because he loves watching the trees and clouds go by..

Ash and Matthew invited us to go out on their boat saturday evening. They picked up Subway and we ate on the boat. This was Jakson's first boat ride, outside of the belly(he went on plenty inside the belly and loved them, of course)He wasn't a huge fan of the lifevest at first, poor guy.

Once the boat started moving he was fine...

Colton and his daddy driving the boat

Our cutie in his lifevest..

i LOVE those squishy legs..

6 month well check

Jakson had his 6 month check up today(Really ends up being 6 1/2 month). He did SO great! Dr. Dixon had nothing but WoNdErFuL things to say about him :) He smiled and laughed the entire time and of course flirted with all of the nurses. He weighed 17.1 lbs (50%), height is 27 in(75%), and head is 18in(90%)--but that is brains of course!

Shots went great. He cried for about 5 seconds and then I held him and he quit. He was totally normal the entire day! My little champ didn't even need tylonol!

Jakson is so funny bc he is turning into this adorable little flirt. He has this new thing where when someone talks all sweet to him he leans his head into my neck and bats his sweet little eyes, i LOVE it! Aghh, he is developing SUCH a personality and it makes me so happy.

Also, today he had his first meat. We ate chicken and veggies for dinner, and so we put some chicken in the food processor for Jakson to eat with his sweet potatoes. He LOVED it and chowed it right down. So far no signs of our baby being a picky eater, YES!! :)

The other day he ate his first yo baby yogurt and loved it. haha, this boy lovessss food :)
