2 years with my man

Josh suprised me a couple of weeks ago and told me that he was taking me to a B&B in chattanooga for an early 2 year present AND he already taken care of arrangements for Jakson. He did so great :)
We left Jakson with my parents on Thursday night and headed up to Chatty in Josh's newest toy, his jeep wrangler :) We stayed Thursday night with our friends Alaina and Robby and had a great time catching up with the two of them. Then on Friday we just explored. We went to breakfast,then to Rock City, then we headed to lunch and then checked in to our B&B.

Our B&B, The Chanticleer Inn, was BEAUTIFUL. It is directly across the street from Rock City and nestled in the beautifully colored trees on the mountain. It was so cute and so pretty! Our room was adorable and had a fireplace next to the bed. Josh did so great picking this place for me :) Totally my style!



We headed downtown Friday night for a nice seafood dinner. Funny story--while we were getting our drinks the waitress spilt my ice water ALL OVER ME. Needless to say, I was freezing the entire night but thankful for our free fried calamari and that it was only water and not my sweet tea in her other hand ;) She appoligized all night. I felt horrible for her..accidents happen!!

After a yummy dinner we headed across the street and saw Due Date. We never get to see movies together anymore so we decided to take advantage of it!

We woke up Friday morning and i discovered the best part of staying at a B&B, the breakfast :) Yummm...french toast drenched in all kinds of goodness.

Then we headed down the mountain and headed back. We grabbed lunch, enjoyed the amazing weather with the jeep by taking the doors off. Then we stopped by the CRAZY toys r us, and got presents for our sweet boy who is turning 1 on Wednesday..I just can't believe it. I even cried a tad while standing in line with his presents. This first year FLEW by.

ANYWAYS---
We came home to a sick boy :( He is not himself. He is waking up in the middle of the night screaming his head off and not napping and just a grumpy boy...We go to the dr at 3 today, I think we might be dealing with our first ear infection :(

3 months along with baby #2!

I decided to keep up with my pregnancy better this time. I will be doing this once a month. Once a week is way too big of a commitment...it is so hard to blog with my sweet boy only taking one nap a day :) and i try to cram so much in during that one nap!

How far along? 12 weeks (3 months)

Total weight gain/loss? at my 11 week appointment i had lost 2 pounds, thank you nausea and food aversions :) i felt like i gained a ton but i think it was all bloating...lovely.

Maternity clothes? Nope.

Stretch marks? nope.

Sleep? wake up atleast once in the middle of the night but that is thanks to my sweet Jakson. Oh teething how i love you :)

Best moment last week? Going to the dr and hearing my sweet baby's heartbeat, 170!

Movement? No, books tell me he or she is moving right now but too small to feel it!

Food cravings? sweet tea, sonic cherry limeade, chick-fil-a, i've really been craving a big fast food hamburger but haven't given in yet...but I might this week :)

Gender? ?!?!? Find out in a month and a half!

Labor signs? Nope

What I miss: HAVING ENERGY!! i went to bed at 9 yesterday...I am constantly sleepy!

What I am looking forward to: This weekend, Josh is taking me to and bed and breakfast in Chattanooga...it looks so pretty and i have never been to one before. Plus, some "us" time is much needed.

Milestones: Baby is the size of a lime...crazy!

Jakson is going to be a big brother!

Ah, we are just so excited!! We found out about 7 weeks ago but have only told close friends and family. We are due May 24!

At 7 weeks we got to see the little one and everything looked great. We just went in this morning for my 11 week visit. Everything looks great for the baby, heartbeat of 170...not so much for me. I already have high blood pressure :( I developed high blood pressure with Jakson at 35 weeks and was on bed rest for a couple of weeks. I am hoping that it doesn't get any higher than what it is now. It is hard to take it easy with an 11 month old running around. I am supposed to get it checked every week and report back to the dr my numbers. They did some blood work today to see if they could find anything that could be causing it.

So anyways, we are just thrilled and are so excited that the Lord is blessing us with another child. The two should be 18 months apart, we are in for some FUN times ahead of us :)

I mean, i know everyone thinks that their baby is the cutest but i have to say...Jaks was meant to be a baby model. He smiles as soon as he sees the camera or a flash. He is so stinkin photogenic and cute. Ok, that was enough bragging from his momma.

Tinsley Mae Hutson is HERE!!

At 10am Monday morning my sweet little niece Tinsley was welcomed into this world! She is just beautiful as EVER and perfect! I am so happy for my twinsie! She has two handsome little guys and now a beautiful daughter. I can't wait to spoil this little girl rotten. She is the 2nd girl of all of the grand kiddos...but with two more on the way maybe she will get some other girl cousins ;)

Jakson gets to meet her on Friday when we go over there! I will take some pics for sure!

HAppy birthday MOMMA!!

Today is my mom's BIRTHDAY! hAPPY birthday Mom and MIMI, we love you so much!!

Let me brag on her for a minute. My mom is the BEST :)She is so loving, giving, kind, sweet and funny. But beware for her freakouts, baahaha!! (thats an inside joke)


She is my best friend and such a wonderful support and role model in my life. She is beautiful on the inside and out. She is such and amazing Mimi as well. Her grandkiddos just ADORE her. She spoils them rotten of course :)Jakson just lights up when he sees her. We talk on the phone everyday! I love the relationship that we have and I hope to have the same relationship with my kids that my mom has with her kids.

fall is here, yippeeee!!

FALL IS FINALLY HERE!!
Wednesday was a high of 79 and i was SO excited that I totally cleared out jakson's summer clothes and put in all of his 12 month winter clothes. Some of them are still a tad too big that is ok. I am sure he will grow into them soon. I can't believe how big he is getting. i love it but it also makes me sad. it really does go by too fast. He has some cute fall/winter clothes. His closet and dresser are FULL and they are all from my sister ashley. We feel so blessed. I have bought some things just bc it is fun to shop for your little one but he doesn't "need" anything. THANKS ASH!!

Wednesday night we went to the state fair with my family. it was so much fun. when we first got there we took the boys on the carousel.

and jr and colton...not so much :) haha. Poor Jr would try to be tough and ride on everything and would then start crying as soon as it started.


We ate lots of unhealthy fair food and i had some wonderful heartburn. then we went to the Jake Ownes concert for a little bit.




Then we headed to the petting zoo where jakson got to look at cows and pet horses. He loved it!







then we watched some elephants, bears and dogs do some performing.

By the end of the night Jaks was pooped!! He did so great though. I think he enjoyed all of the people, loud noises, and bright lights :)
