missing you granddaddy!

Last Tuesday marked the one year since we lost our granddaddy. I can't believe that a year has already gone by. I miss him so much! This past saturday we had a graveside service for him and buried his ashes. It was the perfect little ceremony. There were beautiful blue skies, music playing and a short and sweet ceremony with family all around~ it was just my granddaddy's style.

A Date with Mommy and Daddy to the Circus!

Josh and i got to take jakson man on a special date a couple of weeks ago to the circus! My momma watched henry for us. After we dropped him off Jakson asked, "Where's Honry Tate?!" about 10 times! (i swear that boy will never let me forget his little brother)

we got to enjoy a little chick-fil-a date with the little guy before we went into the circus. they had a fun little pre-show where we got to go down on the floor to meet the performers and see some of the animals. jakson was front row for the elephant's show and he was speechless! (elephants are his favorite at the moment!)

fun day at the zoo!

oh hey there :)

i thought i would get a blog post in while Henny benny naps and jaks is playing...

yesterday we took a fun trip to the zoo! We went with my mom, sister and her kids, sister in law and her kids, and my friend Jess and her daughter. there were LOTS of kiddos and it was so fun! They had a blast playing with each other and seeing all of the animals. i was pretty excited about taking jakson because he is very interested in animals right now. of course he had a blast because he got to run around with his cousins and friends all. day. long.

what a fun filled day. i absolutely love getting to stay at home with my boys so i can do fun things like go to the zoo whenever we want :) this job is the BEST!

i will end with this picture of a worn out two year old... presh. [sisters...that word was just for yall ;)]

p.s. please ignore my horrible picture quality on the blog these days. i have started uploading pics to here straight from the computer to blog instead of from another source so my picture quality on the blog is stinky. but it is WAY faster. so o well :) 

All About Henry

Now, on to our second little man-- Henry Tate also known as HT, Hen, HenHen, Henny and "Honrey"~thanks to jaksonian for that one :)

I can't believe that this tiny guy is already 7 1/2 months. He sure is a smiley little guy just like his brother always was. I swear henry is determined to be running around with his brother as soon as possible!

I haven't been blogging his monthly updates like I did with jaks. it is impossible to find time to blog. these boys keep me moving that is for sure. So here is what henry tate is up to~



He is still in size 2 diapers and wears a few 3-6 month clothes but mostly 6 months.



He weighs around 16.6 lbs according to my scale. he is a little booger!

Henry started crawling at 6 months.



He got his first two teeth at 6 months. (this totally shocked me bc Jakson didn't get any teeth until 11 months)



He started pulling up 7 months. and he now pulls up and tries to cruise along the furniture. He loves to stand up while holding onto your fingers and tries to walk.

 If you stand him up and let go of him he will stand for a second or so! I will be shocked if he doesn't start walking soon.
{It is so funny to see him doing this stuff bc he is so tiny. it just looks like that shouldn't be happening yet!}




He loves the water. bath time is his favorite :)



Henry loves his brother and cracks up at him all of the time. We will be driving in the car and the two of them will just be cackaling at each other in the back, i love those moments!

He hated baby food just like jakson. He would throw up after eating rice cereal and hated the texture of baby food. So at about 6 1/2 months he wasn't eating food and was wanting to nurse every hour or so..i was stressed and tired. then one day he decided that he wanted to start eating table food. Now as long as whatever we are eating is soft enough he can just eat with us! I love this because i am not stressing about trying to feed him and myself. he feeds himself and makes a big ol' mess!

Henry now loves the dogs and loves crawling all over them and getting lots of slobbery kisses :)

oh and he is still bald with some fuzz!
